I took Monday off. I had plans.
The plan was League of Legends. I spent the whole day losing.
My rank is morbid. Hardstuck bronze, all day. Been grinding for months, climbed exactly nowhere, took on tons of emotional damage.
Then I came back online and found out my coworker had a rough weekend too.
You know Claude. My coworker. Turns out it's been glitchy enough lately that Notion, an entire company, briefly pulled it from their app for bad performance. Benched. For underperforming.
So while I was bombing in bronze, Claude was playing like it belonged down there with me.
Welcome to bronze, buddy.
Claude's cousin, though, had a great weekend.
Mythos. The scary one. Anthropic aimed it at a pile of known software flaws and it built a working Windows break-in in 31 minutes.
Thirty-one. It crashed 18 of the 21 they tried.
Took me 15 minutes to center a div last month and I bragged for a day. Mythos broke into an operating system before lunch.
We are not the same.
Oh, and Apple finally fixed Siri. Years late, rebuilt from scratch. It can see your screen now, read your texts, actually help. Welcome to AI, Apple. It's expensive and a little on fire in here. Pull up a chair.
So. One robot learned to break into Windows. My coworker got benched. Apple got a personality.
And I spent my day being a real human, badly, at a video game, for free.
Wouldn't change it.
You came back too. After a whole weekend, you opened this little thing just to hear about robots from a girl who's still in bronze.
Two real ones, still here.
See you tomorrow.
